WLAN has now become a major wireless local area network technology, and WLAN products own broad market in the digital home, enterprise networks, consumer electronics, e-government, military applications, and other fields.
In 2003, HED began to develop wireless LAN core chipsets, which comply with national standards, based on its own IPR. At present, HED has already been one of the major WLAN chip providers in China, and its products are used in notebook computer, Digital TV, multimedia gateway, STB and other equipments.
HED is the formal member of China Broadband Wireless Internet Protocol Standards (China BWIPS), and is among the first group of research units authorized by State Encryption Management Commission to use WAPI to develop wireless LAN chip. This program is listed as the special industrialization program of State Development and Reform Commission.
HED WLAN chips accord with IEEE802.11a/b/g/i standards, China GB15629 standards series, and China WLAN Authentication and Privacy Infrastructure (WAPI). The Chips provide multi-mode security, and support WAPI2.0, WPA, WPA2 and 11i security mode in hardware. HED WLAN chips own all of independent copyright, and have been widely used in network communications, security and other fields. |
